Weekly Announcement & Prayer | April 30th – May 7th
We invite you to stay after service for an all church lunch. We will be serving hearty sandwiches and chili.
In celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, Ron Keller will be starting a new 7-week study starting on May 9th at 7:00 P.M.
Men, don’t miss the next Men’s Breakfast, this Saturday at 8:00 A.M. Join us for delightful food, our study on The Gospel at Work, and prayer. Please read chapters 4-5.
Moms and Daughters! We will be having a Mother’s Day Tea on May 6th from 10:00 to 12:30. Lunch will be provided! A sign-up sheet is on the back table.
If you have to miss a Sunday, be sure to look on the ICC website for that week’s announcements and prayer requests (irvinecommunitychurch.org).
Take a look at the tract rack in the hallway near the front doors. There will you find brochures to share the gospel and to let others know about ICC. Pick up a supply to carry in your pocket, purse, car, etc. Also, by the front entrance is a display of “mini books” on many topics people are dealing with. The books give counsel from God’s Word. They are free.
If you come early and leave late on Sunday mornings and park in the area striped for a parking spot in front and a parking spot behind, please pull up to the forward space so that someone can use the space behind you.
The darling flowers are donated by The Bogstads – In memory of our Baby Jesse’s heavenly birthday.
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
– Ephesians 2:13(ESV)
Monday, May 1 – The Children at Irvine Community Church
Pray as each child in our church family learns about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection and to understand what it means to their lives. Pray for each child to have a heart for God and to grow in the Lord and desire to obey Him and all authorities in their lives. Pray that God will keep them from harm physically and spiritually.
Tuesday, May 2 – Tom and Linda G.
Continue to pray for health and safety for the teams in Kudjip, Papua New Guinea. Several men have returned to the states and a new team of 12 linemen have arrived. Pray for them as they reconduct the feeder from the hydro station to the switch house, a very physically demanding project.
Wednesday, May 3 – Continued healing
Pray for the many in our church, or family members, who are in need of healing and encouragement. Pray that God will be very close to those who are experiencing trials in their lives and pray that believers will reach out to them.
Thursday, May 4 – National Day of Prayer
On this National Day of Prayer we lift up our President, Vice President and Congress as they deal with the situation in North Korea. Pray that they will seek the Lord’s wisdom before acting. Pray also for safety and wisdom for the Valdizan family.
Friday, May 5 – Happy Birthday to Lynn C.
Pray that God will shower Lynn with blessings as she leans on Him and trusts Him with all her needs. Pray for fruit from her continued passion to share the gospel with everyone she comes into contact with, especially the Jewish people that the Lord puts in her path.
Saturday, May 6– Happy Birthday to Bonnie C.
Pray that Bonnie will be blessed in a special way today as she celebrates with her husband, Ray and her mother. Pray that God will grant her good health and energy as she helps Ray and her mother with their health concerns.
Sunday, May 7 – Ron and Rowena H., Shelly B.
Pray for Ron, Rowena and Shelly as they leave for Paris tomorrow to begin their tour to Egypt and Israel with the Sherman’s. Pray for safety and good health and a wonderful time exploring the city.
