Weekly Announcement | September 25th – October 1st

Harvest Festival is October 21st. Just three weeks left until our event! Donations of bagged individually wrapped candies are needed (all types except scary-themed candies and gum). There will be a bin by the front door for candy donations. There is a sign-up sheet for volunteers on the back information table.

In celebration of the 500th anniversary of the day Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses to the door in Wittenburg, we will be screening the movie Luther on Friday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m.

In honor of the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation, Wednesday nights this month will focus on biographies of our “fathers in the faith.” Though they were flawed men, we can learn from their lives and follow them as they followed Christ. Wednesday, Oct 4th will focus on John Wycliffe.

ALL CHURCH WORK DAY this Saturday, October 7th. In preparation for the Harvest Festival, we would like everyone’s help to give our church some extra TLC cleaning. There are jobs for everyone! Breakfast will be provided at 8:30am, then we will work no later than 11:30am. Sign-ups are on the back table.

Flowers provided this morning are in honor of Ginger and Rick P.’s anniversary.

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.”
